Leo Gonzalez, San Antonio Criminal Attorney

Leo was born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. As a child he loved to watch old Perry Mason and Law Order reruns and knew he would one day be in the legal profession. He graduated from W. Ray High School moved to San Antonio where he graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a degree in Criminal Justice. He then received his Juris Doctorate after attending the Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University in Houston.

Leo has worked as an Assistant District Attorney in Nueces County where he was one of two Gang Prosecutors for the county trying numerous high-profile cases, as well as in Bexar County where he tried several high-profile child abuse and murder cases. He has been featured on an episode of NBC’s Dateline in 2020 and has been appointed by the Bexar County Commissioners Court to serve as a part-time magistrate judge. In 2020, Leo left the Bexar County District Attorney’s office and began practicing as a criminal defense attorney. He has used his invaluable trial experience to try cases for clients and fight for the best outcomes he can for each individual client. Outside of the office, Leo enjoys spending time with his wife who is also a practicing attorney, and his children who love to play sports. He is a die hard Spurs and Cowboys fans, and enjoys movies, music and trivia.
