Robert Huerta was born and raised in Houston, Texas.
He found his passion for law and advocacy while attending the High School for Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice where he regularly competed in the Houston Urban Debate League. Robert continued this passion in college where he was the President of the Mock Trial Team for the University of St. Thomas. He competed in several tournaments in Texas, Missouri, and Tennessee winning multiple individual and team awards. Robert graduated with honors earning a BA in Political Science and a minor in Philosophy.
After earning his undergraduate degree, he attended law school at South Texas College of Law Houston where he was able to refine his advocacy skills by participating in moot court, mock trial, and criminal trial advocacy. During law school, Robert also volunteered at a local non-profit organization helping low-income workers fight against wage theft and unsafe workplaces.
As an attorney, Robert focuses on criminal defense law and is committed to giving his clients the best legal representation possible. He is also a member of the Harris County Criminal Lawyers Association.
In his free time, Robert enjoys playing sports, reading, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
